Why do I need a license plate?
- You need a license plate on your car because it is an identification tag for your car.
  - For example, if you get your vehicle stolen from you, your license plate will be used by the police to identify your car through their department
- How do I get a license plate?
  - In order to get a license plate (vehicle registration plate), you will need to go to your location’s Department of Motor Vehicles who issue these plates.
  - When a person moves to a new state with the intent to stay, they are required to register personal vehicles in the new state
  - The new state will issue you a license plate to attach to your vehicle
