What are Federal Holidays?
Federal holidays are days within the year that the U.S government considers legal public holidays, where you receive these days off from work as a worker to observe or celebrate. Government offices and organizations are closed these days. Federal government employees receive these days off and it is up to the private company’s employer’s discretion if you get these days off. All or some federal holidays will be offered off through many private employers as an employee benefit. But, there is no law requiring them to do so.
